As a Chicago interior designer specializing in behavioral health environments, Epic Interiors approached the 150 East Huron location as an opportunity to redefine the experience of a clinical setting. Originally designed for Insight Behavioral Health and later integrated into Eating Recovery Center, the space balances clinical function with warmth, dignity, and emotional ease. From the moment of entry, the environment is designed to feel grounded and supportive, offering a sense of calm that contrasts with traditional institutional design.
Art plays a central role in shaping the identity of the space. Integrated from the outset, the curated art program introduces movement, color, and visual rhythm throughout corridors, group rooms, and shared areas. Clean lines, layered textures, and a restrained palette create a cohesive environment that supports both privacy and connection. This project reflects an early expression of Epic Interiors’ healthcare philosophy, where design is an active part of the healing process.
