Art in Motion | Evanston
Epic Interiors approached this Evanston residence as an opportunity to create a dynamic, art-driven environment where design and expression work seamlessly together. Set within a contemporary loft-style space, the goal was to balance clean, modern architecture with warmth, personality, and a sense of movement throughout the home.
The design is anchored by a curated art program that brings energy, color, and visual rhythm to the open floor plan. A large-scale commissioned piece becomes a defining focal point, drawing the eye upward and activating the vertical volume of the space. Throughout the home, carefully selected contemporary artworks introduce bold moments of contrast, transforming neutral architectural elements into a layered and engaging environment.
Clean lines and a restrained material palette provide a quiet foundation, allowing the artwork to take center stage. Warm finishes and thoughtfully scaled furnishings soften the modern framework, creating a balance between sophistication and comfort. The result is a space that feels both elevated and livable, where each element supports the overall composition.
As with all of Epic’s residential design work in the Chicago area, this project reflects a purpose-driven approach, where every detail contributes to how the space is experienced. Here, art is not an afterthought but an integral part of the design, shaping the atmosphere and bringing the home to life. The result is a vibrant, human-centered environment where modern design and artistic expression come together in perfect harmony.
