Light + Airy | Glenview

Epic Interiors approached this Glenview home as an opportunity to create a bright, open environment defined by clarity, comfort, and modern ease. The goal was to transform the space into a light-filled setting that feels fresh and inviting, while supporting the flow of everyday living.

The design centers on openness and natural light. By embracing an open-plan layout and enhancing sightlines, Epic Interiors created a seamless connection between the kitchen, dining, and living areas. Large windows and a restrained material palette allow light to move freely throughout the home, creating a sense of expansiveness and calm. Clean white surfaces serve as a backdrop, reflecting light and reinforcing the home’s airy, contemporary feel.

The kitchen anchors the space with a balance of simplicity and contrast. Crisp cabinetry and streamlined finishes are paired with deep marine blue tile, introducing depth and visual interest without overwhelming the design. This interplay between light and dark creates a modern, polished aesthetic while maintaining warmth and approachability. The result is a kitchen that feels both functional and uplifting, designed to support daily routines as well as moments of gathering.

Subtle material layering continues throughout the home. This powder room pairs a finely detailed blue geometric wallpaper with clean white surfaces, creating a crisp yet layered look that feels both modern and timeless. The contrast between the graphic pattern and warm wood vanity adds depth, while keeping the space fresh, balanced, and inviting. As with all of Epic’s residential design work in the Chicago area, this project reflects a lifestyle-driven approach, resulting in a home that feels bright, balanced, and effortlessly livable.
