Laid Back Luxury | Glenview
Epic Interiors transformed this 5,100-square-foot Glenview home into a warm, layered environment that balances modern design with comfort and personality. Originally defined by a more austere aesthetic, the goal was to create a space that feels inviting, expressive, and deeply livable while maintaining a refined, elevated sensibility.
The design introduces a cohesive palette of silvery blues, warm neutrals, and deep contrasting tones, allowing texture and materiality to bring depth and softness to each space. Throughout the home, Epic Interiors blended modern and eclectic elements, pairing clean-lined furnishings with rich finishes, nubby textiles, and thoughtfully curated details. The result is a home that feels both sophisticated and approachable, where every space invites you to settle in and stay awhile.
In the main living areas, scale and light were key considerations. The great room, with its soaring two-story windows and expansive views of the surrounding landscape, was reimagined to feel grounded and intimate despite its volume. Layered furnishings, warm materials, and a large-scale commissioned artwork anchor the space, creating a focal point that connects the interior to the natural environment beyond. The entry sequence was similarly transformed, evolving into a gallery-like corridor that showcases a thoughtfully curated art collection, seamlessly integrating new acquisitions with pieces that hold personal meaning.
As with all of Epic’s residential design work in Chicago and the Northern Suburbs, this project reflects a deeply client-centered approach. Art plays a central role in the overall design narrative, enhancing each space while telling a cohesive visual story. The result is a human-centered home that feels relaxed yet refined, where modern warmth, thoughtful layering, and intentional design come together to elevate everyday living.
