Skyway Behavioral Health | Skokie, 7th Floor
As a Chicago interior designer specializing in behavioral health environments, Epic Interiors designed the 7th floor of Skyway Behavioral Health in Skokie as a vibrant, welcoming space that supports engagement, safety, and emotional connection. Drawing on core principles of mental health design, including natural light, biophilic elements, and color psychology, the space is intentionally uplifting while still grounded in calm. Soft greens, blues, and nature-inspired materials work together to create an environment that helps regulate the nervous system and reduce stress from the moment of arrival.
A curated art program plays a central role in shaping the experience, with nature-oriented abstract works introducing movement, color, and a sense of possibility throughout the space. Group rooms, therapy areas, and shared environments are designed to feel open, supportive, and community-oriented, encouraging participation while maintaining a sense of individual comfort. The result is a thoughtfully designed behavioral health environment that feels approachable, energizing, and aligned with the early stages of healing and connection.
