Inspired by Nature | West Lakeview
Epic Interiors approached this West Lakeview home as an opportunity to create a space that feels grounded, warm, and effortlessly livable. The goal was to design an environment where natural materials, thoughtful details, and functional planning come together to support the rhythms of everyday life.
The kitchen serves as the heart of the home, designed with both clarity and comfort in mind. Warm wood cabinetry introduces continuity and softness, while clean lines and carefully considered proportions create a sense of balance throughout the space. Light moves naturally across surfaces, highlighting subtle variations in texture and tone. A custom eat-in area anchors the kitchen, offering a welcoming place for daily routines, gathering, and connection.
Throughout the home, organic materials and layered finishes create a cohesive, nature-inspired palette. A sea-green tile backsplash introduces a fresh, calming element in the kitchen, while moments of color and texture, including expressive wallcoverings and thoughtfully curated furnishings, add depth and personality. In the primary suite, rich grasscloth wallcovering brings warmth and texture, creating a space that feels both serene and restorative.
As with all of Epic’s residential design work in the Chicago area, this project reflects a lifestyle-driven approach, where every element is designed to serve both purpose and atmosphere. The result is a home that feels calm, connected, and deeply inviting, where modern design and natural inspiration come together to elevate everyday living.
