About Pamela:
Pamela Staker is a Chicago-based abstract painter whose work explores a dynamic visual language shaped by urban life, geometry, and moments of nature. Drawing from architectural forms, symbolic elements, and fleeting sensory impressions, she builds layered compositions where structure and spontaneity create an engaging tension. Her process unfolds through accumulation and revision, balancing intuitive mark-making with formal clarity to create surfaces that feel both deliberate and alive. As Staker describes, “these works are animated fragments of modern life, compositions that hold movement, memory, and perception in a single frame.”
Staker has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions across the United States, and her work is held in numerous private and corporate collections, including the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago, Vanderbilt University, and Sophy Hyde Park.
